Blue light is the portion of the high energy visible light that naturally comes from the sun but is also emitted from digital devices. The eye does not block blue light well.
The cornea and lens block UV rays from reaching the back of the eye (the retina). Blue light passes through these structures and can reach the retina. And with our increasing reliance on these devices, our exposure to blue light has never been higher.
